A Raging River and an Even More Dangerous Waterfall up Ahead

Obama is either one of the dumbest men ever to walk the earth – right up there with his VP, Joe Biden – or he’s an extremely unfeeling, malicious and selfish cretin.

I don’t say that lightly either, if only because I’m going to get a lecture on “saying the truth in love” or something along those lines if my mother happens to read this.

But this is a man who has significant national and foreign intelligence at his fingertips. He has direct access to the greatest fiscal, political and historical experts this country has to offer. And yet he persists in sending America careening down an increasingly hazardous river towards the economic version of Niagra Falls.

Might we survive the impending fall if we manage to avoid being dashed to pieces against the jagged rocks littering our path or the powerful whirlpools threatening to suck us into historical oblivion?

Well, nobody can predict the future, so it is theoretically possible. But our chances of survival don’t seem that good all the same.

Yet instead of acting like a true leader and steering us towards the shoreline, Obama is cheerfully pushing his oar into the water – when he’s not playing golf – to propel us further down the rapids.

The latest example of his audacity – or stupidity, depending on your perspective – is his recent pledge “to cooperate fully in working through these issues, both on a bilateral basis but also through international and financial institutions like the IMF.”

In other words, we’re going to borrow more money from China – a country that quite probably wants us subservient – in order to shore up a country that has squandered its own money, encouraged immaturity from the government on down, and  shown far too little initiative to change since it’s past indiscretions have come back to bite it hard in the rear.

This is not the way an intelligent person acts… unless he has some less than honorable intentions.
