For all the criticism I can throw at Republicans for the many idiotic, harmful and selfish things they have done to their party, their constituents and their country over the years, I have to say that I don’t envy them at all.
I’m sure that trying to teach over-privileged, underdeveloped bratty children that two plus two actually does equal four all day long is anything but kicks and giggles. And I have no doubt that the usually mild-mannered Speaker of the House, John Boehner, was still being far too polite when he complained on Wednesday that:
“Dealing with them [Obama and his cronies] the last couple months has been like dealing with Jell-o. Some days it’s firmer than others. Sometimes it’s like they’ve left it out over night… The only thing they’ve been firm on is these damn tax increases.”
But here’s a helping hand for Speaker Boehner and the rest of the Republicans upholding our right to hold onto what we work for…
Maybe instead of talking about complex subject matters – such as Economics 101, how to successfully run a business or reduce unemployment – we should frame the debate in terms even a self-serving socialist like Barack Obama can understand…
If he raises taxes, there will be far less people out there to buy his $35,800-per-couple tickets to his birthday bash fundraiser next month.
Maybe that will get through to him.
Then again, maybe not.
