Too Many Examples of Liberalism in America

Today’s headlines illustrate the dark comedy (or comedic tragedy) that is liberalism, starting with Joe Biden, the poster boy for what liberalism can do to the human brain.

The VP flew to Vegas to tell a clean energy summit that failing to lead the world in renewable energy would be “the biggest mistake that this nation has made in its history.”

That’s a little melodramatic, to say the least. Considering the state of our economy and the hopelessness enveloping the nation, electing Obama and people like him (e.g. Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, etc.) seems to easily trump any green failure on our part.

So does slavery, which – in addition to perpetuating reprehensible behavior and countless tragedies – led to the white guilt that helped Obama rise to power in the first place.

Not to mention that government-funded green efforts don’t work. Spain, for example, ended up sacrificing 2.2 regular positions for every green job it created… one of the many reasons it’s now so economically miserable.

Besides, flying to a green conference is like PETA eating Big Macs. And internationally renowned scientists just debunked the whole global warming myth anyway.

Moving on through the news, Representative Andre Carson, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, says the Tea Party “would love to see you and me… hanging on a tree.” Worse yet, he's probably stupid enough to believe himself.

I’m not willing to give that benefit of the doubt to the Wisconsin labor unions, who are banning Republican lawmakers from participating in a Wausau Labor Day parade. Since they largely fund it, Mayor Jim Tipple understands their right to act like bratty children if they want to… but he also understands his right to pull taxpayer contributions if they do.

No walk through today’s wacky world of liberalism would be complete without a shout out to the Department of Justice’s botched Fast and Furious operation, which purposely allowed Mexican drug cartels easy access to American firearms. The idea proved as stupid as it sounds when a Border Patrol agent took a fatal bullet from one of those guns.

Finally, there’s New York’s Playland Amusement Park, where some Muslims hopped up on liberal definitions of human rights got ticked off that their hijab-wearing women weren’t allowed on certain rides. For safety reasons.

So they threw disruptive hissy fits and got themselves arrested.

Good to know not everything is liberal in America.

This Just In: Sun Causes Man-Made Climate Change

If you only read one news story today, make it James Delingpole’s “Sun Causes Climate Change Shock” in the UK’s Telegraph. It’s a bit long but it’s well worth the read.

It details how, after a few decades of mind-numbing, zombie-producing, media-backed, government-pushed proselytizing about the ravages of man-made global warming/climate change/terrestrial atmospheric palpitations (My term. Amazing, isn’t it?), it’s come out:

It’s all a farce!

Feel free to put your head between your legs or breathe into a paper bag if you need to. Take a few minutes to recompose yourself; nobody will blame you.

After all, the scientific scandals of the last few years, the severe winters striking the globe, and sheer common sense weren’t nearly enough to convince any reasonable person that climate change wasn’t just a pathetic political push for power.

No. This is shocking news!

It’s also exceedingly damning news, since it comes from CERN, the same highly respected group responsible for the World Wide Web and the Large Hadron Collider. Despite heavy opposition, CERN went so far as to create a model of the Earth’s atmosphere to analyze the theory of man-made global warming once and for all.

The theory crashed and burned. (Remember: breathe.)

Really though, there’s no reason for the global warming group to stress out just yet.

The government-funded scientific community will ignore this inconvenient fact. And the media will keep publishing idiot – and increasingly more desperate – stories about how climate change might lead to alien attacks on Earth and an increase in mental illnesses.

Regardless, I don’t see global warming sticking around for all that much longer. But that doesn’t mean people won’t cling to the notion as long as they possible can.

Sadly, far too many scientists, politicians and members of the general public have committed far too much time, money and effort to the idea.

They have made this their life. And they’re not willing to give it up anytime soon.

Al Gore: Global Warming “Denial” the New Racism

Calling Al Gore a self-inflated nincompoop is like saying water is wet. Both are scientific facts.

The only difference between them is that there is an infinitesimally miniscule chance that Al Gore might actually develop the ability to use his brain someday. Unlike water’s wetness, his idiocy is not necessarily a constant, despite its mind numbing longevity.

However, it must be noted that the likelihood of him forever remaining an abject imbecile looks better and better every time he opens his mouth to say something as stupid as:

“I remember… when the Civil Rights revolution was unfolding, there were two things that really made an impression on me. My generation watched Bull Connor turning the hose on civil rights demonstrators and we went, ‘Whoa! How gross and evil is that?’ My generation asked old people, ‘Explain to me again why it is okay to discriminate against people because their skin color is different?’ And when they couldn’t really answer that question with integrity, the change really started.

“… There came a time when… racist comments would come up in the course of the conversation and in years past, they were just natural. Then there came a time when people would say, ‘Hey man, why do you talk that way? I mean, that is wrong. I don’t go for that so don’t talk that way around me. I just don’t believe that.’ That happened in millions of conversations and slowly the conversation was won.”

In the same way, he says, “We have to win the conversation on climate.”

First of all, how out of touch is he, thinking that racism has been vanquished?

I remember learning firsthand about racism at the tender age of five or six, decades after the Civil Rights movement began. And I’ve been able to identify it for what it is ever since, which is good considering how racism still abounds over two decades later.

Al Gore is either exceedingly sheltered or purposefully moronic if he honestly thinks that the “conversation” on race is anywhere close to being dead. (One guess which one it is.)

Secondly, how offensive is he, likening his opposition to racists, probably the most nasty term to throw at anybody these days? How is it racist to want proof instead of hype, or to use our brains and abilities to ferret out all of the duplicity behind climate change “science” instead of nodding in zombie-like approval to whatever the Al Gore-approved media feeds us?

Maybe, it’s about time we start playing fire with fire and call Al Gore and his minions “Climate Alarmists,” “Environmental Falsifiers,” and the political version of racists.

At least when we called them nasty-sounding names like that, it’d be true.

An Earthquake on the East Coast, a Hurricane Potentially Hitting New England, and Now I’m Agreeing with George Soros? What’s This Country Coming To!!!

It’s not very often I find myself agreeing with the likes of the vile, hypocritical, filthy rich, old, white man, George Soros, a blight on American policy and thinking, and quite possibly the antichrist.

(Just kidding. The antichrist, I’m sure, will be much more charming and better looking.)

But when it comes to how Republican Steve Chabot conducted his town hall meeting, I find myself strongly leaning Soros’ way.

(I feel filthy – and really stupid – just writing that.)

The Ohio congressman had police officers collect cell phones and cameras from gathered constituents in order to “prevent an embarrassing YouTube video from making the rounds.”

At first read, that actually sounds worse than it was, since Chabot did this before any such incidents could happen, purportedly to make sure everybody felt comfortable to speak up without fear of looking stupid on the net later. And it also should be noted that the regular news crews were still allowed in to fully document everything however they saw fit.

At the same time, what authority does any Congressman or woman have to ask fellow Americans to hand over their forms of communication? In this case, I’m fairly sure that the proper answer is none.

The people recording were not disrupting anything with their recording devices, were not harming or threatening to harm anybody, and were not on private property that would allow such rules to be imposed on them. Nor was there any real “security” threat involved, as there might be at certain public buildings, such as a police station or capitol building.

In other words, they had every right to keep hold of their possessions. Chabot and everybody else gathered there should have just dealt with it.

And the fact that he didn’t doesn’t seem to say anything good about America.

Vice President Biden Tells China He Doesn’t “Second-Guess” Its One Child Policy

People might question President Obama’s sanity and abilities, but nobody has any doubts about Joe Biden.

The overwhelming consensus is that the Vice President is a blithering idiot, the quintessential example of Romans 1:22, which reads: “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools” (KJV).

Really, that’s all liberals at this point, considering that they’re touting increased spending on pointless projects as a viable – Nay! The only! – way of getting out of debt.

But Joseph Robinette Biden stands out even amidst that kind of bewildering lunacy. To the point where even die-hard Democrats must wonder why Obama doesn’t keep his veep on a much shorter leash instead of letting him visit China’s Sichuan University to say stuff like:

“Your policy has been one which I fully understand – I’m not second-guessing – of one child per family.”

Anybody who knows anything about China’s one child policy should immediately understand how controversial that statement is from an American – or simply an ethical – point of view.

As GOP presidential hopeful Rick Perry put it: “China’s one-child policy has led to the great human tragedy of forced abortions throughout China, and Vice President Biden’s refusal to ‘second-guess’ this horrendous policy demonstrates great moral indifference on the part of the Obama administration. Americans value life, and we deserve leaders who will stand up against such inhumanity, not case a blind eye.”

Not only that, but even those people who believe in a woman’s “right” to choose whether she wants to murder her unborn or not should be appalled at China’s policy, considering that choice doesn’t factor into it at all: only government tyranny. Add economic and social realities to the mix, and you get a reality where many more baby girls are slaughtered than baby boys, which is about as sexist an outcome as you can get.

(Not that it should matter one way or the other. An innocent life is an innocent life.)

The White House is busily backtracking Biden’s blunder now, but the truth has been out there for a while…

Biden is a world-class buffoon who doesn’t have a single ethical – or intelligent – cell in his brain.

Let’s all hope our next president makes a better VP pick than Obama did. Fortunately, on this one, the odds are most definitely in our favor.

What’s Really behind African American – and the Rest of America’s – Unemployment Figures

The Congressional Black Caucus should thank Herman Cain for joining them this year.

They won’t, but they should. He brings sanity to their table, a quality they usually lack.

I brought up Maxine Waters and Sheila Jackson Lee – the one who thought Neil Armstrong et al landed on Mars – yesterday. But now another of their colleagues is stepping forward to prove just how dumb people can be if they only try hard enough.

In discussing dismal unemployment numbers among African American males, Florida Representative Frederica Wilson (Yes, a Democrat) put a lot of the blame on “racism.”

But while racism does still exist – on both sides, Ms. Wilson, just for your ignorant information – there are much more pressing factors contributing to the decline of African Americans… and Americans in general.

Take our corrupt government, which demands large sums of money from hard-working men and women of all colors, combines it with the Federally-backed version of Monopoly money, and puts it all towards paying for poorly planned projects.

Obama’s Libya operations, for example, cost American taxpayers $896 million by the end of July. And that tab keeps growing since, despite yesterday’s news, it isn’t over yet.

Worse yet, we don’t even really know what we’re sinking that money into. There are already reports coming out of the rebel-captured capitol that the hopeful new government has drafted a new constitution… based on women-hating, terrorist-loving Shariah Law.

In which case, we’re screwed even more than we were after Jimmy Carter aided Iran in becoming the global problem that it is today, and Obama encouraged the same in Egypt.

Our African American population – and the rest of the country – is also suffering because we teach children to think that businesses are bad and the government is God, leading to morons like the Florida man who planned to set off fireworks on the National Mall in protest of corruption at the banks… which are mostly headquartered in NYC… not D.C.

And maybe, just maybe, our African American population – and the rest of the country – is suffering because we coddle people until they become so completely degenerate that they go around shooting pregnant girls for no good reason.

None of that is racist, Ms. Wilson, anymore than acknowledging that you and your liberal cronies are part of the problem, and need to either smarten up or get out of the way if you want to solve the African American – and the rest of America’s – unemployment crisis.

Maxine Waters Tells the Tea Party to “Go Straight to Hell”

Maxine Waters apparently thinks there’s nothing quite like foul language to rally the troops.

Problem is, considering that her support team is comprised of ignorant and oftentimes angry liberals, she might very well be right.

The Democratic Representative from California is pushing for her party members, including President Obama, to fight back against Republican efforts to save the country from destructive liberal policies.

“This is a tough game,” she told Los Angeles TV station KABC on Saturday night. “You can’t be intimidated. You can’t be frightened. And as far as I’m concerned, the Tea Party can go straight to hell.”

Classy, right?

And speaking of unpleasantly hot places, I think that Oscar Wilde must have been looking into the future at liberals like Ms. Waters when he said, “We are each our own devil, and we make this world our hell.” Because that is exactly where the liberals are taking us… figuratively and literally speaking.

It should come then as no surprise that such a sophomoric creature as Waters has already come under criticism repeatedly for using her position to send taxpayer money to family members. Exactly a year ago, she was even investigated by the House Ethics Committee for doing just that.

And well before that, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington labeled her one of the thirteen most corrupt members of Congress. They might have also added one of the stupidest members to her dubious list of accomplishments, since Waters willingly associates with Representative Sheila Jackson Lee, who once asked NASA scientists if the Mars land rover was going to take any shots of the American flag… which is planted on the moon.

So when it comes down to it, the Tea Party should be proud that Waters thinks so little of them. Considering her lack of maturity, intelligence and ethics, we want to be her polar opposite.

The Friday Edition News According to Jeannette

Quite possibly because I’m in a bit of an ADD mood right now, it’s going to be one of those days where I write a little bit about everything – even the Starbucks Dwarf – and try to somehow make it all fit together.

This is no easy task and should not be tried at home, children. The same goes for liberals, since they can’t get anything right anyway.

In a sign of the continuing economic mess they’ve created, Bank of America is laying off 3,500 jobs this quarter alone and could soon cut as many as 6,500 later this year.

Fortunately, if the axed employees happen to be dwarfs, they can apply to Starbucks… and sue for either A) Not getting hired due to discrimination, or B) Getting hired and then fired for discrimination (and not because they’re too short to properly reach all of the equipment in a fast-paced environment).

Hey! It’s already happened once.

Or if they’re black and live in Atlanta, Georgia, they can compete with thousands like them for positions with the 90 employers the Congressional Black Caucus managed to terrify into holding a job fair. On the downside, they might also suffer heatstroke while waiting in the depressingly long lines to get in.

But that’s what Representative and Tea Party darling Allen West says blacks should expect from liberals: toiling out in the hot sun for no pay. West says that the Democrat Party is a “21st century plantation,” complete with too many African American leaders acting as “nothing more than overseers.”

The same could be said for Hispanics (and women and youth), who liberal politicians like to treat like stupid trash, save for a little lip service here and there. Latinos are catching on though, so the Obama administration is throwing them an extra bone by promising to halt deportation of illegal immigrants if they’re only behaving well.

Speaking of aliens, the global warming crowd is getting pathetically desperate. It’s now saying that E.T. might go postal on us if we don’t cut back on our greenhouse gasses.

If those “scientists” weren’t pointless cretins – kinda like CBS and its Obama paraphernalia store – it might hurt how stupid they think we are. I suppose they’re just accustomed to gullible people though, considering their typical following, such as the father and son team just arrested in Pennsylvania for harassing the Palin family.

Sadly, our side can be pretty idiotic too at times. Like the Ron Paul supporters seeking strippers, escorts, or “young hottie[s] who have slept with Texas Governor Rick Perry.

With that kind of ridiculousness out there, it’s a real good thing it’s Friday.

Déjà vu: Janet Napolitano Displays an Astounding Lack of Knowledge About Terrorism and Terrorists

Let’s talk about terrorists and terrorism and reality.

And while we’re at it, let’s talk about the bewildering ignorance of one Janet Napolitano, Department of Homeland Security Secretary.

Last month, the woefully dysfunctional woman posted a ridiculous video for her new “See Something, Say Something” campaign, which urges the American public to report any suspicious activity they come across.

Good message, right? Only in theory.

As I detailed in my July 21st blog post, the video showed a bunch of “white men skulking around parking garages, warehouses and government buildings wearing hoodies.”

I’m sure the Muslim extremists got a good laugh at the pathetically PC message. Just like I’m sure they then went right back to thinking up ways to destroy America as we know it… even though Napolitano was thoughtful enough to create a second video, which also blames whites.

(Apparently the backlash against the first one was significant enough that she did allow white people to play the good guys as well this time around. I know I feel better now.)

Her lack of impact shows in the words of Louis Farrakhan, head of the Nation of Islam, who recently absolved Fort Hood Psychiatrist Army Major Nidal Hasan from last year’s shooting spree. It was understandable, Farrakhan explained, because Hasan had to listen to military men brag about raping and murdering Muslims one too many times.

Egypt serves as further proof that Napolitano is just wasting time, energy and money trying to placate madmen. Now in control of the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt just fired on Israel for the first time in decades.

Meanwhile, another Muslim is urging his brethren to “cut the tongue of [David Letterman] this lowly Jew and shut it forever,” after the lackluster comedian made a joke about a terrorist.

Now, I’ll be the first person to say that the world would probably be a better place without Letterman, who is a sexist pig and political hypocrite. But since he does exist, the best solution is to combat his stupidity by driving his ratings down… not by cutting out his tongue and slinging racial slurs at him.

I suppose Muslim extremists would probably consider my rational approach downright ridiculous. But I'm willing to bet that they probably think even less of Janet Napolitano’s methods.

The Drudge Report Points to Obama’s Incompetence in Libya

I love the Drudge Report.

What other news source can I rely on to point out Obama’s disturbingly childish take on life so aptly?

Not CNN. Or MSNBC. Or ABC, NBC or CBS. Heck, Fox won’t even cover the ridiculous reality that is our President of the United States.

But visit the Drudge Report this morning and you’ll find these headlines:
It kinda, almost seems like Obama and his administration either:

     A. Don’t have a clue what they’re doing
     B. Don’t care to have a clue what they’re doing
     C. Are just plain full of it
     D. All of the above

If I had to choose just one answer, I’d go with C…

Obama used to carry with him some semblance of authority and dignity, even if it was just because he had the mantle of PoTUS to wear.

These days, even the title he carries can’t save him from appearing whiny, insincere and ridiculous. His list of disingenuous, incompetent, bullying and manipulative actions have grown so extensive that even the mainstream media can’t cover them up anymore.

(Though, let’s face it. They’re still trying.)

So when a running joke like Donald Trump tweets: “Barack Obama played golf yesterday, now he heads to a 10-day vacation in Martha’s Vineyard, nice work ethic,” even he comes across as more respectable and trustworthy than the president.

And considering that Obama represents the U.S. as long as he hold the title of commander-in-chief, that’s a big deal.

A very sad big deal.

If the Badge Fits…

Obama is embarking on his very first 2012 campaign tour…

Except that he’s kinda been campaigning for himself for a while now; he’s just called it something else. So it’s no surprise that, this time, he’s calling it official, presidential business, where he just so happens to be blabbing about everything being so much better and nothing being his fault.

Which means that he doesn’t have to pay for it. We do.

Lovely, right? And typical.

On this tour – which supposedly has something to do with the jobs he keeps promising and then impeding – Obama got asked a very simple question:

How can he talk about civility when his own VP is calling Tea Partiers terrorists?

To which he responded: “…I absolutely agree that everybody needs to try to tone down the rhetoric. Now, in fairness, since I’ve been called a socialist who wasn’t born in this country, who is destroying America and taking away its freedoms because I passed a health care bill, I’m all for lowering the rhetoric.”

At first, I had to give him props for the answer. And then I used my brain.

Because the Tea Party has done nothing to deserve the "terrorist" label. Obama, however, is a socialist who is destroying America and taking away its freedoms.

Socialists believe in some central body – usually the government – running everything. And pushing for government run healthcare... excessively increased government spending... and heavy government interference, funding and/or takeovers of the automotive, banking and energy sectors? All very socialistic moves.

Problem is, socialism fails. Every time. Hence the reason that…
The President can try blaming everything on the “Arab Spring uprisings, the tsunami in Japan and the European debt crisis” all he wants. Sensible people know the truth… America’s problem is internal in that we keep electing people like Barack Obama.

Rick Perry for President?

Texas Governor Rick Perry is officially in the 2012 presidential race, which should give most conservatives a reason to smile this rather dreary Monday morning.

Perry made the formal announcement on Saturday, drawing both cheers and concerns from Republicans.

Those on the far left of the party spectrum don’t particularly care for his blatant Christianity or his matching pro-life stance. And those on the far right are concerned about his stance on illegal immigration, which isn’t nearly as tough as they’d like it to be.

Anybody who reads my blog at all knows which crowd I fit into, and I’ll be the first to admit that Michelle Bachmann or Herman Cain make for much better, all-around conservatives. From what I know of both of them, I’d be happy to call either of them president.

But their chances of beating out the wishy-washy Mitt Romney aren’t nearly as strong as I’d like them to be. And let’s be very clear about the issue: If the rather RHINO-ish former Massachusetts Governor becomes the GOP presidential nominee… we are in no way guaranteed a victory next year.

Forget that Obama’s approval rating is under 40% now. If Republicans don’t make an intelligent choice, some understandably disgruntled third-party conservative could very well run, thereby splitting the party vote and quite possibly guaranteeing a second term for the lackluster Obama.

And that is something America cannot afford.

So yes, Perry isn’t perfect. But his policies are generating up to 40% of U.S. job growth, he believes in the sanctity of life, and he’s not afraid to take Obama to task on both national and international issues.

As for immigration? Well, look at what the Tea Party has accomplished so far… Who says we can’t make another change?

Our Credit Rating Is Downgraded, Our Politicians Are Idiots, and We’re Worried about Prayer?

It’s finally happened.

Standard & Poor’s, a respected and accredited institution, just downgraded our credit rating. It was well deserved, came as no surprise, and could happen again soon enough if we don’t get our act together.

But what’s worse than standing naked and exposed before the international community – like the silly Emperor in his new clothing – is how some of our leaders still refuse to take responsibility for their prolonged period of incompetence, greed and all-around stupidity.

For example, both Senator John Kerry and former Obama adviser David Axelrod are blaming the Tea Party for the downgrade. And Representative Barney Frank says we need to slash military spending

Not the money we waste on social security, Medicare or Medicaid… Not the green we give to unions or international aid, which inevitably ends up further feeding fat cats more than anything else… Just military spending.

Then there’s the U.S. Treasury Department, which is going the route of the ostrich by claiming there’s “no justifiable rationale” for the downgrade in the first place.

In the midst of all of this, Texas Governor Rick Perry attended “The Response,” in his home state this past weekend, a prayer rally set up specifically because of our economic turmoil. On stage in front of thousands of fellow Christians, the potential GOP presidential candidate spoke these words with bowed head and closed eyes:

“Lord, you are the source of every good thing. You are our only hope, and we stand before you today in awe of your power and in gratitude for your blessings, and humility for our sins. Father, our heart breaks for America. We see discord at home. We see fear in the marketplace. We see anger in the halls of government, and as a nation we have forgotten who made us, who protects us, who blesses us, and for that we cry out for your forgiveness.”

Go figure, he’s getting flack for doing what we all should have been doing long before this. Because he’s mixing politics and religion, which the Constitution does not prohibit.

But even if it did, let’s face it: We’ve made an absolute mess of things banning God from American politics, schools and even churches. We’ve made such a mess, in fact, that we’re only a miracle away from collapsing completely…

Yet we’re fretting about asking for divine intervention when all else has failed?

Now that’s the most embarrassing part of all.

Another Example of Our Disingenuous President at Work

Obama is about as good at keeping his stories straight as a cheating spouse with 15 lovers.

The only difference is that a cheating spouse is still good for a divorce payout. Obama doesn’t even have that much going on for him

Despite what Obama might like to tell us on the campaign trail, the American economy is not recovering. It’s getting worse.

Just ask everybody who is still out of a job after two and a half years of him promising to make unemployment his first priority… and then focusing on his little pet projects instead.

Or check out the Dow, Nasdaq and S&P, which fell 512, 136 and 60 points respectively yesterday, or 4.31%, 5.08% and 4.78%... losing a lot of people a lot of money because nobody has any hope that his debt deal will actually do anything worthwhile.

Even according to his own words, Obama is, at best, teetering on the edge of disgrace.

Yesterday, in the American Spectator, David Catron very kindly reminded us how, “In February of 2009, President Obama went on the Today Show to discuss a variety of issues, including his plan to turn the economy around. When asked about the consequences of failure for his presidency, he replied with unusual frankness: “I will be held accountable… If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.”

Now, to be fair, it hasn’t quite been three years yet. But even die-hard Democrats are losing hope in him by now. Everybody is worrying about a double-dip recession – as if we’ve ever really left the last one – and the misery index is shooting up like Jimmy Carter is president again.

Plus, something tells me that, six months down the road, he’ll still be the same disaster he is today. Not that he’ll acknowledge it, of course.

Not surprisingly, he’s singing a very different tune today. At a recent fundraiser, Obama “acknowledged the change he promised… has been slow to come,” as CNN so tactfully put it.

“When I said change we can believe in, I didn’t say change we can believe in tomorrow.” The elitist donors in attendance all laughed at this exceedingly non-clever joke made at the expense of all the poor, ignorant fools he conned in 2008. “Not change we can believe in next week… we knew these challenges weren’t made overnight and they aren’t going to be fixed overnight.”

Two and a half years is far longer than “next week” though, and nobody reasonable asked for overnight. They just asked for what Ronald Reagan managed to give them well before he started campaigning for a second term… a positive economic uptick and the promise of more to come.

That really doesn’t seem too much to ask from the man who said he could lower the sea levels.

When They Call Republicans Racist, They Really Mean It

Everybody knows that Republicans are racist.

They also happen to be misogynists, homophobes and elitists, and they don’t hire people because, rather like Scrooge McDuck, they like to swim in pools of gold coins in their spare time, which is all the time, since they’re all filthy rich from Daddy’s trust fund.

Sadly, there are people who really believe all that, ludicrous as it is. Talking heads like Chris Matthews and politicians like Joe Biden who spout such slander are actually taken seriously by far too many people… hence the reason why we elected a racist, misogynistic, elitist, lazy rich boy to the Oval Office in 2008.

Think the misogyny label is uncalled for? Consider his aggressively supportive stance on abortion, which is known to cause severe psychological and even physical consequences in women… which makes sense considering that it’s murder.

But President Obama gets to hide behind the Democrat label, which too often gives him a free pass on bad behavior. He can’t be racist, misogynistic or an elitist, lazy rich boy, people think; he’s not a Republican!

A Black Republican Explains the Racism Charge

Providence Crowder, now a black Republican, explains her initial party choice this way:

“Why Democrat, you may ask? Because all black people, as far as I was told, voted Democrat. And since I was black, that made me Democrat. So when I turned 18 years of age, I… saddled that Democrat donkey every election Tuesday without understanding the issues, without learning the party platforms, and without a thorough assessment of the candidates. Heck, I didn’t even care to know such things; I just wanted the Democrats to win the election against those ‘racist’ Republicans.”

In other words, she was taught that Republicans = bad, Democrats = good. That oversimplification of a diverse group of people has allowed economic simpletons and self-serving anti-patriots to hold far too much sway over our government and our media, leading to this current financial mess we can’t seem to escape.

White Democrats Use the Race Card Too

And it’s not just blacks who feel that way. I have white friends who truly believe that Republicans rate very low on the ethics scale as well. They’ve told me so, even explaining that I’m the exception to the rule when I try to defend my party affiliation.

But am I really? I know many Republicans – myself included – who dearly care about their friends across the aisle, regardless of ethnicity, gender, wealth or sexual preferences.

On the other hand, my grandmother is a Democrat, who declared she would not vote for Obama because he was black. The late Robert Byrd held a relatively high rank in the KKK before joining his fellow Democrats in the U.S. Senate. And Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid spoke of then-Senator Barack Obama’s presidential qualifications as including his light skin and lack of “negro dialect.”

Is that to say that all Republicans are angels and all Democrats are devils?

Hardly. I would even go so far as to say that most people who vote Democrat do so because they care about people.

Problem is, their version of caring includes ignorantly slandering others without regard to facts or the truth. And their version of caring is just making everything worse in the end.

Our Stock Market Tumbles, Our Credit Rating Is Still in Jeopardy, and Our Economy Is a Mess… What’s There to Celebrate?

Supposedly, this malformed debt deal was supposed to reassure investors and keep the country’s credit rating from getting downgraded.

At least, that’s what the president and all of his minions repeated over and over and over again, ad nauseam… that and how, if we didn’t get ‘er done, the elderly would lose their Medicaid, the poor their Medicare and we would usher in the end of days (as if we’re not already hastening just that by kowtowing to this bloated, arrogant mess of a government).

The fact that this failure of a President fought so long and hard to raise the debt ceiling should tell us everything. Because it certainly told the stock market something, and it wasn’t good.

Despite the House agreeing to raise the debt ceiling on Monday, the Senate on Tuesday, and Obama signing it into law that same afternoon – the U.S. stock market still tumbled.

Tumbled probably isn’t the right word though. When the Dow falls 265.87 points or, 2.19%; the Nasdaq 2.75%, or 75.37 points; and the S&P 2.56%, or 32.89 points… that’s not anything near as gentle as a tumble. That’s a bone-jarring plunge.

Meanwhile, the threat of having our credit rating slashed hasn’t gone away. At all.

So if we didn’t escape stock market woes or a credit downgrade, what did we get?

For one thing, we got another opportunity for the insufferably smug Obama to tout himself as a success. His press secretary, Jay Carney, just credited everything to the President, saying “In the beginning, middle and end, this process moved forward because of the president’s leadership.”

As if raising the debt limit and spending more than we can afford is something to be proud of. And don’t let them make you think we’re really slashing spending either… Why would we need to raise the debt limit at all if we were cutting back?

Conservative radio talk show host Michael Savage summed it up perfectly when he said:

“We have a government running record deficits, we have millions upon millions who are underemployed or, worse, unemployed; we have a socialized medical plan called Medicare Part A that will go bust in 2017; the United States has at least $50 trillion in unfunded obligation – all on account of policy makers like Obama who think that the redistribution of wealth makes a nation richer not poorer.”

In other words, there’s absolutely nothing to celebrate right now…

Unless you’re one of America’s enemies.

Republicans Just Handed Obama Over Two Trillion Extra to Waste on Himself

So the Republican-led House of Representatives passed it. The debt ceiling is officially raised – or it will be later today as soon as the Senate votes on it – to the tune of $2.4 trillion dollars.

Quite probably thinking they were doing what was best for the country, most definitely exhausted from dealing so closely with an unacceptably sophomoric president, and more than likely a bit impressed with themselves for sticking to the spirit of their no-new-taxes stance, Republicans in the House have just given Obama a few extra trillion to throw down the toilet.

That makes for the nation’s largest debt ceiling increase since Barack Obama authorized just under $2 trillion of additional expenses early last year.

That’s nothing short of pathetic, especially considering where that money is ultimately destined for…

The IRS will definitely get some of it, since it now needs to hire additional agents to oversee the healthcare taxes coming our way. That’s what raising the debt ceiling means… paying for President Obama’s wasteful, harmful, forced insurance plan.

That alone was reason to vote the bill down. But you can also expect the usual unions, idiotic university studies and liberal pickpocket organizations to benefit from the additional goody bags our government just authorized itself to dole out.

Thanks to our representatives, we now have more money to squander on groups like the Department of Fish and Wildlife, which seem to serve a single purpose these days: to make our lives much more difficult than they should be. That particular collection of busybodies just slapped a $535 fine on a family for trying to nurse a baby woodpecker back to health after a cat attacked it.

Not even kidding.

This is what raising our debt limit instead of slashing it to pieces pays for… the destruction of our liberties and the security we associate with being American.

While manufacturing growth slumps to its lowest level in two years and Americans go back to reigning in their own expenses, our supposedly representative government continues to act as if this country isn’t prancing towards our very own day of reckoning.

The Republicans held out for a long time, which was admirable for what it was worth. But they lost the battle all the same, and it was a battle they didn’t have to lose.

Let’s pray our republic can survive their ultimate cowardice. Because at this point, we’re barely more than a miracle away from economic devastation.

Let’s Get This Tea Party Started!

According to Peter Beinart of the Daily Beast, it’s time for Tea Party people to celebrate. Because, “While the details of the debt ceiling deal remain fuzzy, this much is clear: Barack Obama may be president, but the Tea Party is now running Washington.”

I’m not ready to agree just yet – not until I learn more about this so-called victory of ours – but I am going to take a moment to smile all the same. Because liberals are miserable.

That comment sounds exceedingly nasty and partisan, I’ll admit. But I’m not actually happy because they’re not. I’m happy because whenever they’re ticked off with a policy, it usually means the country isn’t digging its own grave quite as fast as it could be.

And let’s face it… That is something to smile about.

In Beinart’s case specifically, I’m also smiling because, if I don’t, I might very well go the other route and pull out my short, brunette tresses in sheer aggravation with his inexcusable idiocy. (And that would be sad, considering how cute my hair looks today.)

In wondering how the Tea Party supposedly took over Washington – Ummm… It’s called free elections. Duh! – Beinart declares, “This is what American politics looks like when there’s no left wing movement and no war.”

That statement makes me wonder what he calls the actions in Libya, which we’re funding, and the military operations in Afghanistan? A romp in the park?

He moves onto note how “Liberals are furious that President Obama agreed to massive spending cuts, and the promise of more, without any increase in revenues. They should be: Given how much the Bush tax cuts have contributed to the deficit (and how little they’ve spurred economic growth), it’s mind-boggling that they’ve apparently escaped this deficit-reduction deal unscathed.”

Only problem is the reason why we’re in this current pickle has everything to do with increased government spending, not decreased tax revenue. Giving more money to spendaholics like we have in the oval office only feeds an addiction in the short-term; it doesn’t solve the problem by any means.

No wonder, as Breinart himself points out, “trust in government is so low that pro-government populism is almost impossible.” It’s because the government has not done anything it’s promised to do for decades… It has not reduced poverty, brought about ethnic reconciliation, or promoted freedom or truth.

In too many ways, things are worse today because of government. Not better.

And that’s why, while Peter Beinart thinks it’s time for Tea Party people to celebrate, I say there’s plenty more to do in Washington before we get down and boogie.
