Except that he’s kinda been campaigning for himself for a while now; he’s just called it something else. So it’s no surprise that, this time, he’s calling it official, presidential business, where he just so happens to be blabbing about everything being so much better and nothing being his fault.
Which means that he doesn’t have to pay for it. We do.
Lovely, right? And typical.
On this tour – which supposedly has something to do with the jobs he keeps promising and then impeding – Obama got asked a very simple question:
How can he talk about civility when his own VP is calling Tea Partiers terrorists?
To which he responded: “…I absolutely agree that everybody needs to try to tone down the rhetoric. Now, in fairness, since I’ve been called a socialist who wasn’t born in this country, who is destroying America and taking away its freedoms because I passed a health care bill, I’m all for lowering the rhetoric.”
At first, I had to give him props for the answer. And then I used my brain.
Because the Tea Party has done nothing to deserve the "terrorist" label. Obama, however, is a socialist who is destroying America and taking away its freedoms.
Socialists believe in some central body – usually the government – running everything. And pushing for government run healthcare... excessively increased government spending... and heavy government interference, funding and/or takeovers of the automotive, banking and energy sectors? All very socialistic moves.
Problem is, socialism fails. Every time. Hence the reason that…
- The heavily socialized Europe grew less than expected last quarter, eking out a dismal 0.2% increase over the January through March period.
- The increasingly socialized U.S. is expected to grow 2% for the rest of the year and only 3% total next year… which is less than last forecasted and probably mostly funded by government growth anyway, which doesn’t really count.
- Evergreen Solar, a Massachusetts tax-payer funded “private sector” company has just filed for bankruptcy, wasting $450 million and accomplishing nothing.
