Al-Qaida apparently hates Fox News.
That shocking fact came out in a just-released October 2010 letter written by al-Qaida American spokesman Adam Gadahn, which outlined the terrorist organization’s plan to spread its message through American media. Despite referencing “how to exploit the media in general,” it specifically mentioned the upcoming 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
And this is what Gadahn had to say:
“In general, and no matter what material we send, I suggest that we should distribute it to more than one channel, so that there will be healthy competition between the channels in broadcasting the material, so that no other channel takes the lead. It should be sent for example to ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN and maybe PBS and VOA. As for Fox News, let her die in her anger. That is if there was no agreement with a specific channel to publish a specific material, or conduct an interview or the like.
“From the professional point of view, they are all on one level – expect (Fox News) channel which falls into the abyss as you know, and lacks neutrality too.
“As for the neutrality of CNN in English, it seems to be in cooperation with the government more than the others (except Fox News of course). Its Arabic version brings good and detailed reports about al-Sahab releases, with a lot of quotations from the original text. That means they copy directly from the releases or its gist. It is not like what other channels and sites do, copying from news agencies like Reuters, AP and others.”
So there we have it: al-Qaida’s view of the American media in a nutshell.
Judging by the letter’s contents – not to mention the terrorist organization’s hatred of the U.S. military, U.S. global influence, U.S. economic traditions (i.e. capitalism), U.S. religious freedom and the U.S.’s existence in general – it would seem that al-Qaida and liberals might get along rather well...
At least they would right until the former chopped off the infidels’ heads, since such alliances (unwitting though they might be) only go so far in a jihad.
Fortunately for al-Qaida, the average liberal is too blind to see that, no matter how many more letters get leaked.
