Sitting down with surgeon and TV host Dr. Oz, First Lady Michelle Obama didn’t hesitate to “absolutely” agree when he declared “the greatest national security threat that we have is obesity.”
That statement is idiotic in any light, but it’s especially dumb considering that just two days ago, the U.S. embassies in Egypt and Libya were attacked by the locals, the latter assault resulting in the deaths of the U.S. ambassador and three of his staff members.
But forget all that, because obesity is the greatest national security threat that we have today.
According to CBS News, “Wanis al-Sharef, Libyan Interior Ministry official in Benghazi, said the four Americans were killed when the angry mob, which gathered to protest a U.S.-made film that ridicules Islam’s Prophet Muhammad, fired guns and burned down the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
“He said [Ambassador J. Christopher] Stevens, 52, and other officials were moved to a second building – deemed safer – after the initial wave of protests at the consulate compound. According to al-Sharef, members of the Libyan security team seem to have indicated to the protesters the building to which the American officials had been relocated, and that building then came under attack.”
In other words, the Libyan government handed U.S. government workers over for the slaughter.
But that doesn’t really matter, because obesity is the greatest national security threat we have today.
Now we’re receiving news that Yemen tried a similar stunt.
Not that you should worry too much about such attacks, since obesity is the greatest national security threat that we have today. At least according to the out-of-touch, spoiled rotten Michelle Obama, who steadfastly supports her equally elitist husband, Jimmy Carter II.
But even forgetting the mindless hatred the Middle East is all too happy to display towards us, anybody who maintains a modicum of intelligence or honesty has to acknowledge that the First Lady is grossly ignoring reality by agreeing to any such claim.
How about the budget deficit and our out-of-control spending habits?
How about our worsening education system, which encourages students to grossly underachieve?
How about our unprotected national borders?
