Sorry, Chelsea Clinton, but I’m going to have to call you out for talking without thinking. Again.
At the recent Women Deliver 2013 conference, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, she took the stage to lament that her mom’s mother was born out of wedlock at a time when women “did not have access to services that are so crucial that Planned Parenthood helps provide.”
Earth to Chelsea Clinton…
The only service that Planned Parenthood could have provided back then that wasn’t already widely available is abortion.
So by pointing that out as a societal injustice or deficit, she’s essentially wishing that her grandmother hadn’t been born, that she’d been chopped up instead into tiny, bloody pieces inside her great-grandmother’s womb for convenience’s sake.
Naturally, if her grandmother was never born, then her mother wouldn’t have been around and could never have had Chelsea Clinton herself.
That simple logic apparently escaped both Ms. Clinton and whoever wrote her speech though.
