So, the Obama administration just released five Guantanamo Bay prisoners for one American POW.
Five for one… with their five being “the five biggest murderers in world history,” according to Senator John McCain, and our one being an anti-American deserter.
According to the New York Post, “… in the weeks before his capture, [Sgt. Bowe] Bergdahl had made murky statements that suggested he was gravitating away from the soldiers in his unit and toward desertion…”
Three days before he went missing, he wrote to his parents: “I am sorry for everything here. These people need help, yet what they get is the most conceited country in the world telling them that they are nothing and that they are stupid… I am ashamed to be an American. And the title of US soldier is just the lie of fools. I am sorry for everything. The horror that is America is disgusting.”
Notably, this is also a man who dabbled in Buddhism and tarot card reading, and took serious steps to join the French Foreign Legion… all well before joining the American Army and getting captured by the Taliban.
Apparently, that’s the kind of American the Obama administration deems worth saving. Not American ambassadors in hostile territory begging for help, but soldiers who hate their country well before they fall into enemy hands.
