HBO Sinks to a New Low in Attacking Conservatives on “True Blood”

How much does Hollywood hate conservatives? Let me count the ways.

Actually, nah. It would be a waste of my time. If you don’t believe it already, it’s because you don’t want to, and you’re not going to no matter the damning stacks of evidence.

For those of you with eyes, ears and functioning brains, however, here’s the latest example of how perversely biased Hollywood is toward the right, as told by Breitbart:

“On Sunday night’s episode of ‘True Blood,’ the fangs literally came out for Republicans in general and Republican women specifically. ‘Oh my god,’ one of the show’s lead characters exclaims, ‘I’m a Republi-cunt.’ … that context… in no way mitigates the insult:

“While HBO’s Award winning ‘True Blood,’ a popular vampire drama has had a long-running narrative with the bad guys cast as southern conservative politicians, last night’s episode took it a step farther, calling Ted Cruz supporters a**holes and offensively referring to conservative women in eveningware as ‘republic**nts.’

“When two of the main characters, vampires Eric Northman and Pam De Beaufort, are planning to crash a fictional fundraiser for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) held at the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas, they are warned, ‘They only let in a**holes.’

“While dressing for the event in cowboy hats and Western evening attire, Pam De Beaufort says, ‘Oh my Godm I’m a republic**t!’

“And finally, De Beaufort enters the gala proclaiming, ‘Of all the horrible things I’ve seen in the last hundred years, this could be the most disturbing.’”

(How stupid is that! You know that kind of hyperbole springs from a fountain of delusions.)

According to another Breitbart article, the fundraiser turns into a bloodbath.

In addition, Sarah Palin was invited to do a guest appearance on the episode without any warning about the specific content. Turning it down, she only learned about the attacks (both fictionally literal and realistically figurative) when everyone else did… this Sunday when it aired.

In response, Palin asked a perfectly reasonable question: “The left wants to talk about a ‘war on women?’ Keep engaging in your misogynist attacks on women you disagree with, and we’ll see who wins your self-inflicted war in the court of decent public opinion.”

What it comes down to is that Hollywood and the left don’t have any better ways of expressing their opinions than to resort to perversity and lies. An anonymous meme probably sums it up best:

“Arguing with liberals: It’s like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, crap on the board and strut around like it’s victorious.”
