Yesterday, while scrolling through the news, I came across a fascinating headline from the Huffington Post of all places:
Here’s how it starts: “President Barack Obama made a major political mistake by lying about the details of his health care plan, according to former House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.).
“‘The rollout was so bad, and I was appalled – I don’t understand how the president could have sat there and not been checking on that on a weekly basis,’ Frank told HuffPost during a July interview. ‘But frankly, he should never have said as much as he did, that if you like your current health care plan, you can keep it. That wasn’t true. And you shouldn’t lie to people. And they just lied to people.’”
The article goes on to note that, despite those lies, Frank is still all-in for Obamacare.
Go figure. But it is still fascinating to hear as staunch a nasty liberal as Frank is (He did, after all, shamelessly use the Boston Marathon bombing to tout high taxes) come right out and call the president a liar and his signature law a lie.
This is one of those “You know it’s bad when” kind-of situations.
Not that America didn’t already know that. I’m pretty sure only the most heartless and/or brainless and/or clueless leftists really still support Obamacare at this point.
