San Francisco Murder Victim of Illegal Immigrant Gets No Love From Obama

Kathryn Steinle is dead, killed on a San Francisco pier by an illegal immigrant.

As far as the public is aware at this time, the fatal shooting was unprovoked. Steinle and her father were just standing there when Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez decided he could get away with anything, including murder.

To some degree, you can’t blame him for that assumption. He’d already been arrested and deported multiple times, with no serious consequences and an unguarded door right back into the U.S. If I was a criminal with that track record, who knows, I might try pushing my luck too. Especially in San Francisco.

That Californian locale is a so-called “sanctuary city,” which means it doesn’t work with federal immigration officials or adhere to immigration laws. All are welcome there, including lawbreakers, violent and otherwise.

Then again, I have no idea why San Francisco bothers with the title anymore considering how President Obama has declared the entire country a “sanctuary city” these days. That’s probably the reason why he’s ignoring the Steinle murder altogether.

As Breitbart points out, “Nearly two weeks after 32-year-old Kathryn Steinle was murdered on San Francisco’s Pier 14 by an illegal alien and convicted felon who was released from prison earlier this year, President Barack Obama has failed to contact the victim’s family or mention her in public. Yet Obama took the time to write (and release) 46 personal letters this month to felons imprisoned for non-violent drug offenses whose sentences he had commuted.”

Now, supporters might argue that ignoring the murder of one random citizen is a completely different matter than issuing executive pardons. And I can see some validity to that point. But how about this…

Obama and his office mentioned Michael Brown in multiple national addresses, and went so far as to reach out to Michael Brown’s family after the not-so-innocent young man was shot and killed last year while attacking a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. He was also quick to weigh in on Trayvon Martin, another black teenager with a rap sheet.

Yet when a nice white girl gets killed by someone who had no business being here in the first place? There’s radio silence. You can practically hear the crickets chirping serenely.

Please don’t get me wrong. I’m not calling Obama racist. I genuinely don’t think he cares about black lives any more than he does whites or Hispanics or Middle Easterners or anyone else other than himself.

All I’m doing is calling him the worst president ever.
